The son of a firefighter, Daniel Corrigan sought to follow in the footsteps of his father, retired Alameda County firefighter John Corrigan. He began his fire service career in 2007, when he joined the Fresno Fire Department. In 2013, he transferred to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, where he would serve bravely for the next two years. Over the course of his career, he was a member of the department’s urban search and rescue team and honor guard.
