In addition to firefighting, Frank loved scouting, camping and exploring California’s wild outdoors, from the Sierra Nevada to its rugged North Coast. For Frank, the opportunity to live and work as a firefighter was a dream come true. He died of an on-duty heart attack at the age of 46.
