For 31 years, Gary Clark was a compassionate and hard working team member of the Los Angeles Fire Department. A graduate of USC, he rose through the ranks from firefighter to fire captain to battalion chief, leading and teaching by example. He was an exemplary role model to all he encountered and was always ready to encourage and mentor the young men that crossed his path. He was highly respected in his profession and was a great influence on many who joined and promoted within the fire department. He died from duty-related heart problems.
