Following his eight years of service in the United States Navy, Mark Allen Domingue launched his fire service career as a volunteer with the Atwood and Merced County Fire Departments in 1997. In 2001, he was hired full time by the Atwood Fire Department and would join CAL FIRE as a fire apparatus engineer in 2008. Outside of work, he was a fierce competitor, enjoying baseball, golf, bowling, pool, golf and ping pong. He is survived by his wife, Kimberley, and their children. Mark died in 2015 as a result of job-related cancer and heart disease.
