Richard “Rick” Watson began his firefighting career in 1979 as a paramedic trainee working through the ranks to become a captain.   He served the city of Los Angeles with honor and distinction until his retirement in 2014.  Outside of work, Rick was active in Boy Scouts, enjoyed swimming and water polo.  Rick loved nothing more than to spend time with his family.  He passed away from job-related illness in November, 2019.
