The California fire service — management and labor — is asking all California firefighters and their families to take some time on September 29th — in person or online at the fire station — to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
California Professional Firefighters and the California Fire Chiefs Association are urging any available personnel to attend and participate in the Memorial Ceremony in Sacramento. READ THE JOINT LETTER HERE
For those working, management and labor are urging all personnel to participate in a Safety Stand Down in fire stations on September 29th from 11:30am to 1:00pm to view the Memorial Ceremony LIVE.
STAND DOWN TO WATCH LIVE STREAM
The California Firefighters Memorial will be available to all fire stations — and anyone else with an Internet connection — on this page. You can also view it via the California Fire Foundation’s Facebook page.
Personnel are encouraged to gather in common areas to watch the ceremony and consider the steps they take to stay safe on the job.
