LODD: CAL FIRE Captain Stacy Hamilton

CAL FIRE, Local 2881 and CAL FIRE Tulomne-Calaveras Unit are saddened to announce the passing of one of their own in the line of duty.

Captain Stacy Hamilton passed away on June 8, 2019, in a single vehicle accident while traveling home from an ordered overtime shift.

Brother Hamilton started his career in 1993 with the US Forest Service on an A.D. hand crew and engine company. He continued working up the ranks in California and in 2007 began working for CAL FIRE as a Fire Captain. Brother Hamilton was a cadre co-lead instructor in the Aerial Supervision Module. He was a qualified Helicopter Manager, Air Support Group Support and a Helitack instructor at the CAL FIRE Academy in Ione, CA.

Brother Hamilton is survived by his wife Katie and two sons Ian and Logan.

Memorial Information

A celebration of life for Brother Hamilton will be held on Monday, June 17th at Clovis Hills Community Church, 10590 N. Willow Avenue Clovis, Ca 93619. The service will begin at 11am.

Uniformed Personnel, Apparatus, and outside agency Honor Guards please arrive at 9am.
