Robert Berbena Jr. began his fire career with the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), then moved to the Tracy Rural Fire Department, and ultimately the Modesto Fire Department where he retired as a Captain after 29 years of service. Bob was a friend to anyone he met and loved to talk about his football career at Davis High School and Modesto Junior College. He loved the outdoors, spending his time running marathons, golfing, fishing, cycling, along with many other outdoor hobbies. Bob had an infectious smile and laugh, with a love for life that inspired those around him. His stories and passion for serving his community will forever live on with those who knew him best. Bob is survived by his children, Danielle and Anthony, and his siblings, Felix and Felisha.
