Brian Corntassel loved the camaraderie of being part of a team and helping others, which led him to become a firefighter. When off-duty, Brian enjoyed playing sports, including playing on the LAFD softball team, watching Angels games, helping his daughters with their homework, and being the best father he could be. He was a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Brian served with distinction for over 22 years with the Los Angeles Fire Department and is remembered for his humor, intelligence, desire to help others, ability to think quickly to save lives, generosity, and deep love for his family.
