Inspired by the courageous firefighters battling the San Bernardino County wildfires, David J. Donley discovered his life's purpose and embarked on a distinguished career in firefighting, starting with the U.S. Forest Service and then dedicating 44 years of service to CAL FIRE. Throughout his career, Dave held various roles, including Helitack, Engine Operator, and Captain. He found his true passion as a GIS Specialist in the Riverside Unit and as a Perris Emergency Command Center Captain. Known for his calm demeanor and meticulous attention to detail, Dave ensured the seamless delivery of multifaceted emergency services to the Riverside community. Though his life was tragically cut short by job-related cancer, Dave's legacy of service and dedication lives on through his loving family: his wife, Marianne; his son, Michael, a CAL FIRE Battalion Chief; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and his grandchildren, Elisha, Eden, and John.
