From a young age, Henry Flores aspired to pursue a career in the fire service and worked hard to become a Fire Explorer, Auxiliary Firefighter, and Paramedic. Henry earned an AA degree in fire science before being hired by the Palo Alto Fire Department, his dream from the beginning. In 2001, Henry joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department where he served for 23 years, promoting to the rank of Captain. Henry’s greatest passion in life was his family, which included his wife, Amy, his daughter, Jessica, and his stepchildren, Marissa and Tylor. Henry was passionate about his Christian faith, using it as an inspiration to guide how he led his family and his firefighters. He lived a life that impacted many as a devoted husband, father, firefighter, and friend.
