Brian LeVasseur knew the fire service was his calling in life from a very young age. He attended the Rio Hondo Fire Academy after high school and was hired onto the Los Angeles County Fire Department, where he earned his nickname “Sharky.” Throughout his 30 plus years of service, he advanced through the ranks to Fire Captain. He enjoyed working at busier stations and was passionate about his career, the department, and his crew. He enjoyed being outdoors and was known for his outgoing, generous, and loyal nature. Brian was a beloved son, father, and brother, but his greatest joy in life was being a father to his greatest love, his daughter Kaylie.
