Andrew Lee Pontious was a 19-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He always loved the outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a degree in Wildlife Management and eventually follow in his older brother Dave’s footsteps, becoming a firefighter for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Andy was a hardworking, aggressive, and tenacious firefighter, spending much of his career at some of the busiest firehouses in the county. Andy’s love for firefighting, hunting, and the outdoors was only exceeded by his love for his family. Known as “Uncle”, he enjoyed spending time with his nephews and nieces, always taking them on adventures. Andrew will be deeply missed by his wife, Kim.
