Jonathan Edward Van Oeffelen began his career in the fire service as a Firefighter for the City of Vernon. Jon remained at the Firefighter rank for his career because he always wanted to have a tool in his hand and truly loved fighting fires. Jon joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 2020 when the county took over fire services for the City of Vernon. Jon’s greatest love was spending time with his family, and he always made himself available to help anyone he could, especially those close to him. He is remembered for his love for his family, his incredible friendships, and his impactful life. Jonathan’s legacy will be carried on by his wife Kelly, and their four sons, Evan, Nathan, Austin, and Ryan.
